Pou de Barrulles
THE TRUFFLE
The Pou de Barrulles is an old well located in the Catà region, historically used to store and conserve water, essential in an area with a dry Mediterranean climate. These wells were essential to the survival of rural communities, especially during the dry summer months. Although there is not much detailed information available about the Pou de Barrulles in particular, its existence is testament to the ingenious hydraulic solutions developed by the region's historic communities.

Hidden in a valley is the municipality of CatÃ, where the strength that came with the wool trade and livestock farming during the Middle Ages has left good architecture of the period in its old case, declared a Historic-Artistic Site, as well as as an Asset of Cultural Interest.

THE CHEESERY
Catà makes artisan cheese with milk from its own farms, which allows us to know and control its quality and offers excellent products.
WATER OF L'AVELLA
The water, which springs from a calcareous rock spring, where oral tradition places the miraculous appearance of the Mare de Déu de l'Avellà , was declared of public utility in 1928 and has great properties for the body.
CHURCH
The Parish Church of the Assumption from the 14th century, with its impressive Altarpiece by Jacomart and the sgraffito with mythological figures or the paintings by the master Pascual Mespletera in the Communion Chapel.
Likewise, a curious sundial presides over one of the access doors to the temple.
THE TRUFFLE
One of CatÃ's most outstanding products. Its season is from November to April. This is the most valued and appreciated truffle in the kitchen, with a delicate and penetrating aroma, once you try it it is difficult to forget.
THE AUGUST FESTIVITIES
The August festivities are the most typical. These festivals are religiously dedicated to the Virgin of the Assumption, San Roque and San Cristóbal with high masses and processions. Among all the activities organized during these days, the following stand out: the "Bous de Plaça", the Toros Embolados, soccer matches, musical festivals and the "Ball Plá."
PRAYATION OF SANT PERE
The Catà pilgrimage is one of the most deeply rooted in the interior of Castellón. Since the 14th century, CatÃ's prayer to Sant Pere de Castellfort maintains the processional tradition of accompanying the cross and flags. The singers sing "O Vere Deus" that goes back to other times.
THE MARKET MARKET
The Lonja de Catà or Casa de la Vila was built between 1417 and 1437. It is the most emblematic construction of the town and currently houses an interpretation center about its history. The whole of this building is a jewel of Levantine civil Gothic.
THE FRIDGE
Tossal de la Nevera is a mountain that reaches 1,286 meters in altitude. It is the highest mountain in the municipality of CatÃ. On a day of good visibility, from its summit you can enjoy a 360º horizon from which we can see, in addition to the sea, the Sierra de Irta, the Desierto de las Palmas, the Sierra Espadán, the Penyagolosa, the Mola de Ares and the Turmell.
